You can walk to the lake from here instead of standing in the long lines for the various local buses. You get to see a lot more local stuff as well whilst walking.

Before buying tickets for Kawaguchiko, check the weather report 1st to make sure the day of your trip is clear sunny weather otherwise you might not be able to see Mt. Fuji due to rain, fog, etc.

It takes 30mins to go to the lake. View is better from there. Some spots from the station gives a good view of Mt.Fuji too. Try taking pictures around this place.

標高がやはりあるのでたとえば都内から行ったとすると確実に都内より気温が低いのを感じられます。秋とかにはヘタに薄手の服で行くと寒い思いをするので防寒対策必須。

B/w Jul-Sept , there are additional trains running directly from Shinjuku/Chiba/Narita Airport<>Kawaguchiko .Do remember to book a RT before you head there as Fujikyu is unable to issue the tickets.

Buy the red & green bus pass (same pass) at the station. Offers unlimited rides. Starts at bus stop #1, usually a long line. Only show the pass when you get off the bus. Pay per ride available.

You can take a Keio express bus from Shinjuku Highway Bus Terminal, which is just a two mins walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit. The one way journey takes about 2 hours and costs 1,700 yen (SGD22)
