The earlier the better and watch out for people speeding around the corners. Walking a few flights of stairs won't kill you to park at the top. Some could use the exercise.

As nice as you think your car is, a Honda doesn't deserve two spots. Park on the top floor if you're worried about nicking your car. And if you have a truck for godsake don't park with the compacts

Park in the outside ring of spaces unless you have a compact car, and don't back in to spaces and force other people to wait for you. Also watch for morons who cross the center line on turns.
