The park itself is meh, but this place has a very interesting story. Look for it on 99PI podcast.

Once the site of a military fort, and then later the infamous Kowloon Wall City, and finally torn down before the British handover. This park is steeped with history.

For first time visitors, dont miss the bronze reproduction of the original walled city, with the cross section picture behind it. Super cool!

A strategic point on the peninsula since the 16C, this was a no man's land where illegal activity flourished for almost a century til it became a park in 1987. – Green Guide Editor
