The Elmhurst Public Library is a beautiful building with an excellent offering of books, CDs, and DVDs. The self-checkout is the best part when there's a line at the desk.

Very impressive library. Lots of places to sit with power outlets, good wifi, coffee shop and plenty of online features like ebook downloads and streaming video.

Prospect Ave is a beautiful walk with the nice homes, Wilder Park, Elmhurst College campus and this great library

If you don't have an id/card and you look young, try the group rooms in the kids section!

The glass study rooms are the place to see and be seen in the Elmhurst Public Library.

Actually, there still is a 3-day grace period, but it doesn't apply to new DVDs or hot copies. http://www.elmhurstpubliclibrary.org/About_the_Library/LoanPeriodsLimitsGracePeriodsFines.php

Used to have a 3 day grace period on returns, but it seems to have been eliminated. So return your books on time!

Go to Elmhurst Public Library and order a caramel latte from the coffee shop. Take it upstairs to the comfy chairs at the far west side of the building while reading your favorite magazines for free.
