Fantastic island. Fun causeway. Lots of see and do. Recommend visiting the castle if nothing else.

Small island with such a nation changing history. Watch for safe crossing times as the causeway floods.

Please heed the warnings about attempting to cross the causeway when the tide is rising. See http://www.thejournal.co.uk/news/north-east-news/holy-island-causeway-crossing-causes-5774979

Use the castle shuttle minibus if you have smaller kids as it's not a short walk for little ones. The bus stops at various places on the small island.
