The meal deals are really good value, two for £9.99. Very friendly and helpful staff. We always visit the Matchstick Man when in Manchester.

Make sure you are conscious of portion sizes. Big plates are really big while the standard meals are sparse on salad!

a good cheap pub that’s not full of idiots. Recent bar staff not as good as previous which is a shame. No real ale mecca but has decent guest beers. Food is ok to not great. Fills a hole, decent curry
