Sesame noodles are really good. My favourite place in Shanghai. Very cheap, not clean, crowded place, but noodles are amazing.!

This 9RMB noodle join is a Shanghai icon, come for the "ma jiang mian" Sesame Noodles. It's run down but really feels like a symbol of yesteryear (it even made it to the Louis Vuitton Travel Guide).

Definitely try 麻酱面 (noodles with sesame sauce)! It's only 9¥ and super tasty. But a place is a bit crappy.
