Their website declares it as being “dedicated to preserving and exploring the history, environment and people of the Chesapeake Bay.” They do it with things like a replica crab-processing plant.

Great museum and nice little store. Ship building exhibit is great. Wish they had discounts in the off season.

Plan to spend some time here to talk with the ship builders and restorers. A museum well with the price of admission.

The original building was once bought for only $1000 by the Arundel Corp. from the U.S. Now it’s home to 82+ Chesapeake watercraft, the biggest collection in existence!
