Remember this WAS the sandcovered church. The tower is not burried. When the church kept getting burried it was abandonded by royal decree and only the tower was kept as a marker for ships at Sea.

Bygget i 1300-tallet. Gennem 1700-tallet blev Sct. Laurentii Kirke gradvis dækket af flyvesand. Til sidst måtte man opgive at bruge den. Den blev lukket i 1795. Senere blev en ny kirke bygget i Skagen
