One of the 3 important shrines in Japan. Very popular at New Year. Much more peaceful at other times. Not really very much to see but nice atmosphere

The grounds are very beautiful. The temple itself is impressive, but not much to see if you're not religious.

We went in the afternoon. It was so peaceful, so quiet, just walking among trees. If you're after the Amaterasu sword, sadly, it's nowhere to be seen. Stuff of legends!
