@MeeraP,There is no restrictions for women in mosque . I think someone misguided you for that.Womens are not allowed in the mosque during Namaz time only otherwise you can roam around freely in mosque

Women are not allowed in here. Also, avoid wearing any leather items and if you're a man, bring something to cover your head!

There are 3 entrances, so if you're asking for directions it's possible you're being directed to anyone one of these! Beware!
