Absolutely charming decor: there's a distinct Indian film theme, from 70-80s Bollywood to regional cinema posters from South and East India as well. Get the bottled water which goes towards charity.

Really impressed. Nothing like your conventional Indian restaurant. Don't let the outside put you off, the place is great.

Awesome taste, really good for vegetarians. As usual in indian restaurants, the portions look small but really aren't...

A little off the beaten track, this is one of Bristol's best Indian restaurants, the food is authentic, delicious and good value.

Thalis (southern, with fish curry & lentil dahl, or northern, with tarka dahl & mutter paneer), served with rice, raita & salad, in a Hindi-colonial setting (fringed lamps, elephants, vivid pinks).

You pay £22 for your first tiffin meal (including a stack of four stainless steel dishes), and come back whenever you want a refill: three hot curries and rice, enough for two, cost £7.

Following from that, it's delicious, great price and a local landmark for it!
