The wonders of Hungary

Hungary's resorts are nothing but wonderful.

Thousands of geothermal sources are located here, and they have been used for medical purposes since the times of Roman Empire. 123 of them are found in the Budapest area. Hungary is long known for its healing waters rich with minerals and carbonic acid. At Szechenyi Baths, Europe's largest spa which has its own beach, you can take baths all year round because of the comfortable temperature of the water. Many tourists come here with the express purpose of improving their health. Also popular is Lake Heviz, a thermal lake the waters of which are recommended for people with locomotive system disorders. The lake is constantly sustained by a geyser, so the water in it is renewed every 3 days.On the map of Hungary you can find a couple of hundreds of caves, and some of them – for example, the Pal-Volga labyrinth, the Buda cave system, and the mineral salts cave Szemlohegy – are opened for visitors. These are very popular places not only for those who love extreme activities but also for casual travelers. The country guide recommends all tourists to visit Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The local landmarks are Sándor Palace, Buda Castle, The Hungarian National Gallery, and Matthias Church. Buda Castle, Andrassy Avenue, and Danube Embankment are a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Getting around Budapest to see all the most interesting places is better via its public transport. Buses, trams, trolleybuses and the subway are all at your service.
