Don't even think of getting there on public transport with your kids. Bring something to eat and drink, because there is no cafe or vending machine with snacks. Exposition is nice but not big.

This place has changed A LOT over the past few years. They've really upped their game from a family "edutainment" perspective. There's lots to see and do and interact with for kids and grown-ups.

Check the calendar for activities and schedule - the farm itself is open year-round, but different buildings have different hours and scheduled programs can be seasonal.

Amazing working farm right in the heart of one of Canada's most populous cities! A great place to teach kids (and adults!) about where their food comes from.

Probably the worst museum in Ottawa. More like a $10 playground.

New parking charge of $1 /30 min over and above the admission price of $10 (adult) $7 (child) makes this a highly overpriced attraction. A real shame.

Come after 4pm for free admission. In the summer if you hang around after milking you can see the cows being driven out to pasture

This is the only museum in the city with self-updating exhibits! Afternoons are quieter, especially in the fall. We like to come in time for feeding time, get a snack w/bees & see milking.
