Beautiful island. There is ancient temple. Nice to discover but I didn't like too impudent inhabitants. Many people stay for a night or for meditation days.

Breathtaking view downhill to the bay of Yumani / Escalinata and the shores of Lago Titicaca. Living here on a lakeview hillside must be a great (retirement) prospect!

Staying one night is the way to do it. Try quiet waterfront city Challa where few tourists go. Locals will tend to avoid telling you where it is to keep you in the north and south villages.

Many backpackers head here to stay overnight on the island, but you may wish to just take an early boat to the north side of the Island and walk back to the south side.
