Hooray! We are 9!
News | 12.04.2020
We turned 9 in April 2020! We share our achievements over the past year, as well as plans for the future. Thank you for being with us!
What achievements and success stories can we share from the past year?

In 2019, we continued to make MAPS.ME the best travel maps. We also began creating the world's largest global multilingual platform for digital travel guides. Our big goal is to collect more than 1 million travel guides from professional suppliers, travel bloggers, and everyday travelers in one place.

In 2019, we launched two types of subscriptions to our guides catalog and added more than 25,000 city and nature routes to it from around the world. MAPS.ME now features content for more than 100 countries and 700 cities around the world. During this time, users also shared more than 80,000 personal tags.

We made a series of improvements for drivers, such as releasing CarPlay, adding toll and dirt roads, and introducing speed cameras and auto navigation. That makes driving with MAPS.ME even better!
What are our plans for 2020?

Like most of you, we're aware of how recent events are changing the travel industry and our lives in general. Nevertheless, we believe the market will quickly recover. For our part, we'll support businesses and users through several special promotions that we'll share soon.

Our plans for 2020 were and are big ones to make traveling with MAPS.ME even better. We will continue to develop guides and add lots of new content and special functions for Outdoor users.
What did we do outside the office?
2019 was an active year for our team. In addition to our many exciting and important projects, we had company parties, celebrated the project's anniversary, ventured out on a quest, and went go-carting. One of our team members even raised the MAPS.ME flag on Europe's highest peak, Mount Elbrus. We shared this story on our blog as well here.

Now, like many others, we are continuing to work remotely on improving the apps that will be waiting for you at MAPS.ME this year :)
