Kyrgyzstan is a fabulous country, bewitching and amazing with its landscapes, peaks, lakes and rivers. Local photographer Max Claytor shared his favourite mountain views with us.

Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia through the cities of which the Great Silk Road once passed. Most of the country is occupied by one of the highest mountain ranges – Tien Shan. The highest mountain peak – Pobeda Peak (or Tomur) – is more than 7 kilometers high. The nature of Kyrgyzstan is unique – here are the mysterious Issyk-Kul Lake, and the majestic relic walnut forest, and many hot springs. Local cuisine, yurts and traditions of Kyrgyzstan can to impress the guests of the republic with their special charm.
